Tres Caricaturas
I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is this drawing on top here turned out pretty good. Not too bad.

Look! I'm in a Magazine!

So, what I had to do was go with this group of people who work at Pacific Magazine to two different restaurants in downtown San Diego and draw some caricatures of these people that they selected for a blind date. It was pretty exciting, but I was rather nervous because I've never done such a thing, but I'm glad I got to do it, and I hope to get this opportunity again.

Lebron Again

I'm mostly just happy with the three on his shirt. Here's a video by an old New Yorker who I learned how to draw Lebron from. He could be from Long Island, actually. Not certain.

Equidistant Acne
Let's talk for a moment about organized acne formations. Sometimes, on rare occasions our acne forms a pattern on our face. I don't like it when this happens. A while back I had a red spot about an inch from the left corner of my mouth and on the other side about an inch as well in almost exactly the same direction. I would rather there be more acne but it be scattered about so as to look random. Symmetrical acne makes it seem like I acned myself on purpose, using...say...a sharpened Slim Jim or something. About two days ago I had a formation which is pictured below. Its quite bizarre because it makes a straight line, for one, and for two, the spots are equidistant, and as an added peculiarity there's a fourth dot over to the side that sort of makes an isosceles triangle. Fancy that.
So in conclusion, I don't mind having acne sometimes, though it was quite severe, back in high school. Now, since I have some acne people think I look younger than I am. It gives me youthful vibrance, but when, in that odd case, it is symmetrical or equidistant it just looks bizarre.

A Bit More from Valet
As for this set, the very top one is Charlie who use to be the foremost valet captain then he got in some legal trouble and may or may not be authorized to drive and this shall no more be discussed in this or the following paragraphs because to do so would be unseemly, but anyways. He's not the captain anymore. Its the guy in the drawing underneath it. This was a little pre-sketch I did before I did the finished one. This idea didn't make the cut with a couple people who's opinions I solicited. He was among them and that was probably a mistake cuz every time I look at him I still see this. Well, maybe he needs an upper eyelid.
Moving right along, with the next guy I was completely happy with the sketch and then my marker bled when I was drawing his stubble and now his stubble is much more severe and much more puerto rican, and neither of these is correct. It doesn't matter, tho, because we don't have the drawings taped up under the desk anymore anyway because they have to paint the wall or something, but they haven't painted yet. Oh yeah! And all the drawings disappeared. People were taking them home, bit by bit, and they were in a stack in one of the little cubbies in the valet booth, but then one day they all disappeared into the ether. Such is life. I hope someone is enjoying them and they didn't get pitched. But I don't care all that much ether way, honestly.
